Additional Information

Feldschlösschen Brauerei is the biggest brewery in Switzerland and was founded in 1876 in Rheinfelden. The brewery is in the shape of a castle and Feldschlösschen means 'small castle in the fields' in German. In 1991 the brewery acquired the Cardinal brewery in Fribourg. Hürlimann and Feldschlösschen merged in 1996 and formed Feldschlösschen-Hürlimann-Gruppe and in 2000 the group was bought by Carlsberg.

Over the years the brand identity is updated and re-launched with subtle changes, a change of Logo or a new font.
Sometimes this brand update is done by the new owners after a brewery has been sold, other times just to give the brand a fresh new look on the ever growing market.

Below are some notes to help identify some of these changes and an aid to reference the year of the glass.
