Spain - Breweries

Sociedad Industrial Canaria (Sical) was based in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and can trace it's roots back to the La Tropical brewery founded in 1924. In 1994 it merged with Compania Cervecera De Canarias S.A.(CCC) a brewery based in Santa Cruz de Tenerife that was founded in 1939. Today the company is part of the international group AB InBev, following the successful merger between SAB Miller and AB InBev.

Over the years the brand identity is updated and re-launched with subtle changes, a change of Logo or a new font.
Sometimes this brand update is done by the new owners after a brewery has been sold, other times just to give the brand a fresh new look on the ever growing market.
