In 1896 The Nitra Brewery started producing beer, when it was made public the name was changed to the Karšay Brewery. In 1992 the brewery created the Corgoň brand. Five years later in 1997, the company was bought by Heineken which helped modernize the brewing process and expand the business. In 2007, Heineken moved beer production to the Hurbanovo Brewery.

Over the years the brand identity is updated and re-launched with subtle changes, a change of Logo or a new font.
Sometimes this brand update is done by the new owners after a brewery has been sold, other times just to give the brand a fresh new look on the ever growing market.
