Additional Information

The Pedavena Brewery was founded in 1897 by brothers Luigi, Sante and Giovanni Luciani when they came to Pedavena in 1896. In 1928 the Luciani Brothers acquired the Dreher brewery, situated in Trieste, built up in 1869 by Anton Dreher, from Vienna; this plant was specialised in the production of low fermentation beers. At the end of the 1960's, it was necessary for the group to concentrate its efforts on only one brand Dreher Beer, to hit the Italian market. In 1974 the Birra Dreher Group was sold to the Dutch Heineken Group.

Over the years the brand identity is updated and re-launched with subtle changes, a change of Logo or a new font.
Sometimes this brand update is done by the new owners after a brewery has been sold, other times just to give the brand a fresh new look on the ever growing market.

Below are some notes to help identify some of these changes and an aid to reference the year of the glass.
