Germany - Breweries

The Kronen Privatbrauerei Dortmund, was one of the oldest breweries in Westphalia at the Old Market in Dortmund. The company could look back on a more than 550-year-old brewing tradition, First mention of the "crown on the market" in the city Chronicle was 1430 and from 1729 to 1996 it was part of the Wenkers family estate.

Then in 1996 The sale of the Crown Brewery together with the Pin brewery and Thier brewery was made with Dortmunder Actien Brauerei, who still maintain some of the beer brands. The brewery is now part of the Radeberger Group.

Over the years the brand identity is updated and re-launched with subtle changes, a change of Logo or a new font.
Sometimes this brand update is done by the new owners after a brewery has been sold, other times just to give the brand a fresh new look on the ever growing market.
