Additional Information

Bosteels Brewery (Brouwerij Bosteels) is a brewery in Buggenhout, Belgium. The brewery was founded in 1791 and is still owned and operated by the same family, now its seventh generation. As with most Belgian beers, Kwak has a branded glass with its own distinctive shape. It is held upright in a wooden stand; the brewery claims the glass was designed by the innkeeper Pauwel Kwak in the early 19th century for coachmen who would stop at his coaching tavern and brewery named "De Hoorn", though the beer and the glass were not launched until the 1980s.
Some of the Brewery's Range
Tripel Karmeliet - Brewed to an authentic beer recipe from 1679, has three kinds of grain: wheat, oats and barley.
DeuS - Is a Biere de Champagne.
Pauwel Kwak - Brewed since the 1980's.

Over the years the brand identity is updated and re-launched with subtle changes, a change of Logo or a new font.
Sometimes this brand update is done by the new owners after a brewery has been sold, other times just to give the brand a fresh new look on the ever growing market.

Below are some notes to help identify some of these changes and an aid to reference the year of the glass.
